In a time of warmth

            In a time we should be feeling warmth,

            I see a lot of cold for the man who doesn't have a place to sleep.

            She can't feed her baby -- she needs to feed her once a day habit.

            That boy joins a gang for protection;

            two weeks later gets shot in the face.

            All for what? That beautiful and sensational, crisp, almighty dollar.

            The greed will have us before we can take it.

            Who knows what happens when we die?

            But we are living now. And I don't feel we were put here to hate.

            Take a breath of fresh air. Look at the trees, and smell the flowers.

            There's so much beauty for us out there.
